Week 4 Reflection

 This was a challenging module for me. I found that the lesson plan although I had it in my mind and I knew exactly what I wanted to do writing it out was quite challenging. 

My favorite activity was the Graphic. I love being creative and this gave me an outlet for that creativity.  I am looking forward to creating my kahoot and my powerpoint for the lesson plan. I feel like this will be another outlet for me to have fun. 

Once I have completed all of the lesson plan preparation I do plan on actually teaching my 3rd graders this lesson. I use ASL in the classroom all the time and I feel that to incorporate it into actual lessons and use technology will be fun for both the students and myself. I also was talking to my principal at the end of last year and I am planning on starting an afterschool language ASL course once I return to the classroom. 

Week 3 Reflection

 This week I had a ton of fun with the HTML assignment. I am really enjoying playing with code, which is something that I didn't really know about myself prior to this program. I am having fun learning all of the codes and making them my own. This leads me to wonder if maybe my future lies in coding. Who knows at this point?

The Web 2.0 presentations were a wealth of knowledge. Some of the programs that were presented I knew about; however, I didn't know how extensive they were and how much I could do with them. I really also liked being face-to-face with Prof. Rubal, since we hear her voice every week. There were so many great programs shared and also many different ways that my cohort uses them in their educational field. I was so excited to hear all of the ideas.

I liked the QR infograph; however, I feel that because we are learning remotely, it was a bit difficult to really bounce ideas around. That is something I miss about being in an actual class. I do, however, like how Google Docs is editable by everyone with whom it is shared. I also didn't know about Google Drawing, which is something I will definitely bring into my classroom. I feel that just like this infograph, I could have my entire class work on a drawing together.

Overall I am very pleased with all of the work that I have done this week. I am looking forward to continuing with my Lesson Study and possibly even creating a webpage for my topic.
