This week was a fun module for me. Being a teacher I loved looking at all the ways that Google can be used in the classroom. I am excited to take my new skills (Google Earth and Google Maps especially) and use them with my students. I feel that using these tools will definitely help enhance lessons about places my students have never visited. I never knew that Google Blogger existed and I have always wanted a way to keep parents informed and a part of the classroom and I feel like this is a perfect way.
My favorite task this week definitely was the Computational Puzzle! I am enjoying going through and trying to figure out all of my cohort's favorite colors. I plan on using this task in the classroom with my own students in order to give them the opportunity to have a little coding lesson. I see this as a task any grade could do which is very exciting for me since I have taught both 3rd and 5th grade.
The hardest part of this week for me personally was choosing a lesson plan topic. I felt like there were so many different options and narrowing it down to just one was a very difficult task. I am looking forward to working on my topic as it's a topic that is near and dear to my heart. Overall I am excited about this course and I look forward to learning all the different ways of bringing technology into my personal life and professional life.
I feel that as technologically savvy as I feel l am there is so much I still do not know. I am looking forward to all the learning that is still to come.
